About the Artist:
Hi! My name is Julie-Anne Bolduc. I’m a certified Teacher in Ontario from the University of Ottawa. I’m bilingual and from Northern Ontario. Born in Thunder Bay but lived for a few years in Longlac. I grew up in Temiskaming Shores, went to University at Wilfrid Laurier in Waterloo and traveled teaching English in Asia for two years. I love to travel, read, paint and write. I started painting and writing. following a severe concussions and further health issues. I have numerous severe allergies that prevent me from having a "normal" life. You can see some of my paintings here: www.facebook.com/JABsColours/. I have a passion for writing and painting, but never really took the time to pursue them enough. Eventually I had so many paintings that I decided I should sell them and see if I could ease my medical expenses. I have had some paintings commissioned by Laurentian University, on display at Science North Museum and participated in the Northern Lights Festival in Sudbury. I was a runner up for the lyrics section for the contest songoftheyear, the one that Meghan Trainor won the whole contest that help to make her famous. I was part of the Sudbury Junction playwrights of 2016. Ten minutes of my play was read on stage, amongst other even more amazing talented playwrights. I was really excited to help out with this chair because it was a chance for me to give back to the community and society I live in. I'm really proud that I was able to help out. Thank you!
